Yael and I have just used video promotion techniques learned from @AndyJenkins to create a 82-second video to promote our new free report “Twitter, Facebook and Your Website: A Beginning Blueprint for Harnessing the Power of 3 for Your Business”
Both Yael and I feel strongly that just being on Twitter and having a Facebook fan page and a website aren’t enough to effectively promote your brand, book or business online.
These three elements of Twitter, a Facebook fan page and a marketing-driven website need to be combined into an integrated strategy in order to get the most power out of an online social media marketing campaign.
This week Yael and I attended a speed networking event here in Los Angeles sponsored by our alma mater – the University of Pennsylvania. (Yael graduated from the College of Arts and Sciences in 2005 and I got an M.B.A. from The Wharton School in 1980.)
We both thought the format really worked: We filled out an information form ahead of time. When we arrived at the event we were each given a schedule of 13 six-minute “meetings” with one minute passing time. Let me tell you, when you have only six minutes for two people to share information and what they’re looking for, you get to the point quickly.
The reason I’m talking about this event is because both Yael and I were surprised at how many well-educated people (yes, Penn alums) aren’t yet using social media marketing to promote their brand or business online. And many of these people could greatly benefit from harnessing the “power of 3” for their own opportunities.
Get a headstart on many, many people (oftentimes your competitors) by getting your free report now — or reading it now. Then you can start applying the “power of 3” to your business — and we can help you (see www.WeTeachWebMarketing.com).

P.S. If you’d like us to create a marketing video for something you want to promote, email us at powermarketing@millermosaicllc.com FYI — The video is first uploaded to YouTube, where people can find it there thanks to keywords. Then the video can be placed on your website, creating a double whammy.
(And if you don’t yet have a website, the video can be placed on your Facebook fan page or even put on Twitwall and the link pulled into your Twitter account.)

Great video, Ladies. Were the “video promotion techniques” you learned from Andy Jenkins related to the way you wrote the copy for the video, the software you used to edit it, or the way you are promoting it online?
Good question, Bob. The video we did uses the FAB formula for copywriting explained by Andy as well as the software discussed by Andy.
We’re promoting it online based on our own strategy, which is uploading to YouTube first. Andy recommends uploading to TubeMogul, from where you can upload to even more video-sharing sites than YouTube. We may also do this now.
