Reprinted from a blog post of Phyllis Zimbler Miller as a National Internet Business Examiner.
I’ve been including a mention of the July 1st launch of the Miller Mosaic Internet Marketing Program wherever I’ve been publishing guest blog posts and articles throughout cyberspace.
Yet I need to think beyond this and announcements on Twitter. Where and how can I send direct email invitations to join the $19.95 monthly program?
FYI – I’m thinking of actually opening the program at 9:01 p.m. Pacific time on Tuesday, June 30th, because it’s then already Wednesday, July 1st, on the East Coast.
Which of my social media networks allow me to send a “mass” email invitation to my followers or friends or fans?
Some of these sites change rules the way other people change their socks. Facebook is one of these. Thus I’m not sure how many friends I can email at one time. (Last time I looked it was 20 at a time, which can be very tedious if you have several hundred Facebook friends.)
I need to be strategic about this. If I can only email 20 people at a time, I’m not going to send out an email ahead of the actual program opening. I’ll wait until after 9:01 p.m. Pacific time on June 30th to send out the emails so that I can include a direct link to the information page that clicks through to the actual signup page.
True, my tweets from Twitter have been going through to my Facebook update, so some of the people who are my friends on Facebook may know about the launch. But if they’re like me, with limited Facebook “face” time, they may not read their friends’ updates. Even a personal email may not get their attention, but it has a better chance than an update.
The motto of the Miller Mosaic Internet Marketing Program is making it easy for people. And whenever I send an invitation I’m always conscious of what the other person might want to know. Thus I’ll have to be careful to answer the obvious questions in the email in order to encourage people to check out the program.
What do you think of this email message to my Facebook friends?

• Is this too long? But then so are many of the ones I get from other Facebook people about their programs.
• Did the message convince you to at least check out what the program provides?
• Is there any missing information you’d like to know before you click through to the program’s details?
• And are you wondering why I included the monthly price? (Because I hate having to read an entire long sales pitch to learn what something is going to cost.)
If you have any suggestions for me about this proposed Facebook email, leave a comment. I’d appreciate it.
And what else has been going on? Let’s hold that update for the next post.
