About Us
Phyllis Zimbler Miller started Miller Mosaic, LLC to provide the services she wanted for herself for online marketing. The publication of Phyllis’ MRS. LIEUTENANT: A SHARON GOLD NOVEL in April 2008 launched Phyllis into internet marketing, including using social networking such as Twitter and Facebook to market her book.
Phyllis developed four websites working with a web developer, yet she was continually frustrated by having to wait days for the web person to make the slightest changes. In response to this frustration, Phyllis hired her daughter Yael K. Miller – now the chief technology officer for Miller Mosaic, LLC — and charged her with finding a solution to this website dilemma.
How Yael and Phyllis Developed the Call-to-Action Websites
As Yael explored WordPress and design, she became interested in both the technical coding behind the scenes and the visual results on the screens. She connected on Twitter with like-minded people – people who are quite willing to share their expertise with her.
And at this moment Yael’s grandfather wanted to obtain senior improv gigs on cruise ships. Yael built her first WordPress website for him at Al Zim Comedy. And she didn’t look back. She next built Lt. Commander Mollie Sanders for her parents’ writing project and Show Me The Screenplay for her sister Rachel. She then started getting paying clients, such as the book sites Booksicals and GrowingSuccessfulOnlineCommunities.
Phyllis and Yael have discovered that the combination of their education and interests provides them with a valuable background for Miller Mosaic’s mission of providing call-to-action websites that the clients can manage themselves. Phyllis and Yael also help clients with getting started doing social media marketing.
In addition, Phyllis is now a National Internet Business Examiner, writing posts several times a week on effective internet businesses and internet marketing.
Both Phyllis and Yael University of Pennsylvania Alums
Phyllis has a B.A in journalism from Michigan State University and worked as a journalist for several years. She also studied advertising design at the Philadelphia College of Art before earning an M.B.A. at The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and working in marketing in Los Angeles.
Yael graduated from the University of Pennsylvania, where she majored in Medieval/Renaissance English and minored in Classical Studies. She was awarded the 2004-2005 Penn Playwriting Fellowship for her short play JULIET’S NURSE. She’s currently at work on the first in a proposed middle grade fantasy series, for which she has already registered a website domain name.
